Let’s say you’re making a standard – sized drawer for a kitchen cabinet. You might want a width of around 12 – 24 inches, a depth of 18 – 24 inches, and a height of 3 – 6 inches. Once you’ve got your dimensions, mark them on the plywood. Use a sharp saw to cut the pieces for the sides, bottom, back, and front. Make sure your cuts are straight. If they’re not, your drawer might not fit right or slide smoothly.
Assembling the Drawer Box
Now comes the fun part – putting it all together. Start with the sides and the bottom. Apply some glue to the edges of the bottom piece and the inside of the side pieces.
